COLBY -- Joseph Byron Greenwood, 81, of Colby, formerly of Marshfield, Wisconsin, died Saturday, June 21, 2008, at the Colonial Center in Colby, Wis.

No services will be held.

Cuddie Funeral Home of Loyal is assisting the family with arrangements.

Joseph was born March 12, 1927, in Cook County, Ill., to Joseph John and Alice Amanda (Schiefelbine) Greenwood. He married Dolores Ribbke on May 8, 1948, in Rock Springs. They later were divorced. Joe worked most of his life as an auto body repairman and painter. He later moved to Marshfield from Adams County to care for his mother until her death. He resided in Marshfield until entering the Colonial Center in November 2002.

He is survived by his children, Cynthia Greenwood, La Crosse, Daniel Greenwood, Clarksville, Tenn., and Susan (Robert) Gilmore, Riverside, Calif.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
