Christine Venzke

Christine Venzke, 96, of rural Marshfield, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at Grace Lutheran Church in Nasonville. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.

Christine Venzke

Christine Venzke, of rural Marshfield, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at Memorial Medical Center Nursing Home in Neillsville.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at Grace Lutheran Church in Nasonville.

Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church. Hansen Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Christine was born Feb. 25, 1912, in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of Frank Sojka and Christine (Krivanek) Sojka. She was united in holy marriage on Oct. 20, 1932, to Herman A. Venzke at Nasonville Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Venzke spent most of her life as a homemaker and farm wife.

Christine is lovingly survived by two sons, Raymond (Demaris) Venzke, Helena, Mont., and David (Wanda) Venzke, Marshfield; 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. She is further survived by two sisters, Anna Adamec, Neillsville, and Barbara Tichey, La Crosse.
