Robert V. Kuhn, 91, of Janesville died Thursday, June 12, 2008, surrounded by his children and grandchildren at home.

He was born in Neillsville February 1, 1917, the son of Robert and Malvine (Netcel) Kuhn. He has been a Janesville resident since the 1950s. Robert was a combat veteran, serving in the U. S. Army with the 252nd Field Artillery during WWII stationed in Europe and serving in the Battle of the Bulge. He owned and operated the Milwaukee Bar on Milwaukee Street for many years. He loved fishing well into his 80s and hunted in earlier years.

He is survived by his three children, Wanda Quick of Kennewick, WA, Raymond (Diane) Quale, Jr. of Janesville and Sharon (Rick) Terwilliger of Janesville; four grandchildren, Shelly Davis, Stacie (Tony) Farrell, Angie Wilson and Jeff (Rosa) Wilson; four great-grandchildren, Tierney and Tierra Davis, Jessie and Nick Wilson; a great-great-grandson; sister, Luella Bartlett of Pittsburgh, PA; sister-in-law, Ruby Kuhn of Neillsville; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, George and Bernard; and a sister, Gertrude.

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 16, 2008, at Schneider Apfel Schneider and Schneider Funeral Home, Janesville, with Pastor Don Hochmuth officiating. Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
