Kell, Mary Ellen (29 November 1943 - 13 June 2008)

Mary Ellen Kell, age 64, of Withee, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 20, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at the Thorp Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Myhre officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday at the Thorp Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.

Mary Ellen Kubera was born on November 29, 1943 in Thorp, WI to Andrew and Myrtle (Swim) Kubera. She received her education at area schools and graduated from Thorp High School in 1962. She was united in marriage to Roger Kell on October 31, 1964 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Withee. After her marriage, Mary Ellen was a homemaker, raising her four children.

In her spare time, Mary Ellen enjoyed bird watching, camping, crafting, fishing, and especially enjoyed the outdoors.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

She will be sadly missed by her four children: Bryan Kell of Ladysmith, Bruce Kell of Fairchild, Tracy (Brian) Rau of Owen, and Bradley (Jody) Kell of Ladysmith; five grandchildren: Amanda Rau, Katlin Rau, Dylan Kell, Payton Kell, and Talan Kell; twelve siblings: Alvin Kubera of Marshfield, Dorothy Congemi of Waukesha, Florence (George) Mahalko of Killeen, TX, Marlene (Duane) Baker of Hutchinson, KS, Bonnie (Byron) Timo of Two Harbors, MN, Wendell (Mary Lou) Kubera of Marshfield, Joyce Markoutsis of Waukegan, IL, Marjorie Peleschak of Phelps, Darleen (Anthony) Jarocki of Withee, Judith Ann Kubera of Thorp, Sharon (Brad) Gilbertson of Stratford, and Lorraine Sitter of Chippewa Falls; and hundreds of nieces and nephews.

Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roger on July 29, 2007; four brothers; Arlyn Kubera, Louis Kubera, Andrew Kubera, Jr., and Harry Kubera; and one sister Ruby Pearson.

Thorp Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
