Zuehlke, Albert G. (20 NOV 1867 - 8 Mar 1942)

Mrs. Hal Voight returned recently from Oshkosh, where she had spent many weeks helping to care for her father, Albert G. Zuehlke during his long illness.

Mr. Zuehlke, 74, died Sunday morning, March 8, at his home in Oshkosh.

He was born in Germany on Nov. 20, 1867, but came to this country with his parents when he was nine months old, and Oshkosh became his home for the rest of his life.

He was married to Miss Elpha Love on Sept. 20, 1890. She died nine years ago. A daughter also preceded him in death.

He is survived by seven children, 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 11, at 2 o’clock at the Konrad funeral home, with the Rev. H. O. Blackburn officiating. Interment was in the family lot in Riverside cemetery.

Mr. Zuehlke was well known here, as he often made long visits at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Hal Voight.

Those from Loyal who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Voight, Mary Jane Firnstahl and Jack Firnstahl, Jack serving as one of the pallbearers for his grandfather’s funeral.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hahn and son Tommy and daughter Judy of Marshfield also attended.
