Messing, Delma #2 (12 APR 1942)
Sunday afternoon, April 12, at 3 o’clock Miss Delma Messing, daughter of Elery Messing of Granton, became the bride of Walter Lueck, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Lueck of Loyal, at the home of the groom’s parents, with the Rev. J. C. Langholz officiating. The double ring ceremony was used.
Miss Roselyn Messing, sister of the bride, served as bridesmaid, and Marvin Lueck, brother of the groom was best man.
The bride wore a soldier blue street length dress and a shoulder corsage of subrum lilies, while her bridesmaid was dressed in a flowered blue dress and wore a bouquet of white carnations.
An archway of pastel shades of crepe paper decorated one corner of the living room and provided a setting for the ceremony.
A 5 o’clock dinner was served to immediate relatives at the home of the groom’s parents. A large tiered cake centered the dining table.
The bride is a graduate of the Granton high school, class of 1941, and has been employed in Marshfield. The groom attended the Neillsville high school.
They will make their home with the groom’s parents, where they will assist with the farm work.
The Loyal Tribune adds its best wishes to those of the many other friends of Mr. and Mrs. Lueck.
