Manning, Frank #2 (2 NOV 1868 - 9 MAY 1942)
Frank Manning, who lived in Eaton Center for the past 12 years, passed away at Jump River on Saturday, May 9. He was staying with his son, Spencer, for the winter, as has been his custom for several years.
Mr. Manning was born in Tunnel City, Wis., on Nov. 2, 1868. He moved to Sparta in 1900 and was married to Flora Whitemore in 1901. Three sons, Spencer, Elmer and Lloyd, were born to them.
They moved onto the farm in Eaton which he owned at the time of his death.
His body was brought to Greenwood, where funeral services were held in the Stabnow funeral home Tuesday at 2 o’clock, the Rev. A. J. Abbott officiating, and interment was in Greenwood cemetery, where his wife is also buried.
Mr. Manning is survived by his three sons, two daughters-in-law and three grandchildren. Mrs. Manning passed away in 1933.
The pallbearers were Ed Rhode, Otto Roehl, Lynn Kocher, Bob McConnell, Earl Rhode and Emil Schendel.
