Sherman, B. F. (1836 - 9 Oct. 1915)
Beaver Dam, Wis.; Oct. 9 - B. F. Sherman, editor and publisher of the Beaver Dam Argus since 1864, died at his home here tonight from an attack of heart trouble. He was born in 1836 and came to Wisconsin in 1857. He was a prominent member of the Masonic and Odd Fellow fraternities and is survived by his widow, four sons and a daughter, all of whom reside here.
The above dispatch gave us a feeling of sadness. Frank Sherman gave us our first lessons in the art of printing, and for seven years we remained in his employ, working at the case and press with him during that time. He was a kind and loving husband and father, a good citizen, and one of the foremost in promoting new enterprises for the betterment of his home city. We deeply sympathize with the family in their bereavement.
