DEATH WAS SUDDEN.

Chas. L. Bemis, Brother of Soo Line Claim Agent, Succumbs to Apoplexy.

Charles L. Bemis, brother of Harry E. Bemis, Soo line claim agent, died suddenly at his room in the Majestic Hotel at 6:46 o'clock Sunday evening of apoplexy. Mr. Bemis, who was an employe(e) of the local Soo line car repair department, has been on a vacation since shortly after Christmas and returned to the city Saturday afternoon from Marshfield, where he had been visiting. He was taken sick Saturday night and sank steadily.

Mr. Bemis was 34 years of age and was born and raised at Two Rivers. He came to this city (Stevens Point, Wis.) upwards of a year ago and in that short period had formed a large personal acquaintance among local residents. He was active in Baptist church ? where he frequently appeared as a member of the choir.  His death was a shock to his friends, among whom he will be greatly missed.

Besides his brother, H. E. Bemis, who lives at Medford, Mr. Bemis leaves his mother and a sister, who reside at Two Rivers. Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Bemis and baby and Rev. James Blake accompanied the body to Two Rivers yesterday for interment, the funeral having been arranged for this afternoon, with services by Rev. Blake at the Congregational church there.
