Sechler, J. R. (? - 9 AUG 1902)
Mr. J. R. Sechler of Sechlerville, father of Mrs. Thos Lowe of this city (Neillsville, Clark Co., Wis.), died Saturday night at 7 o’clock, of appendicitis. The funeral was held Tuesday. Mrs. Lowe went down on Saturday, and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest McIntire followed Monday.
Mr. Sechler had lived a long, industrious, and successful life. He was a farmer, miller and creamery man, and had large interests in and around the thriving village that was named after him. He had accumulated a large sufficiency of this world’s goods, and his time had been fully occupied for many years past in look after and managing the industries of which he was the head. In this work he found his greatest pleasure, and passed from earth well satisfied with the fair fame and gain that he had won. He bore the reputation of being square and honest in all his relations with his fellows, and he leaves a large circle of acquaintances throughout western Wisconsin to mourn his death.
