Sherbinsky, Julius (1850? - 7 SEP 1902)
Julius Sherbinsky died on Sunday night from the effects of a cancer, which started two or three years ago on his under lip, and had slowly eaten away the flesh from his face and neck, around the windpipe and arteries, until finally a vital point was reached, and his terrible agony came to an end.
Sherbinsky was a German, about 52 years old; had served in the army of the fatherland; was a hard working man, and was for some years in the employ of the city, really taking charge of the city plumbing work when Maj. Hommel was away in the war with Spain. The funeral took place yesterday.
