Nitzsche, Carl (9 NOV 1820 - 7 NOV 1902)
Mr. Carl Nitzsche, father of Mrs. Charles Cornelius, died Friday morning, Nov. 7th, 1902, at the home on Fifth Street (Neillsville, Clark Co., Wis.), aged 82 years, having been born in Saxony in 1820. He had been an invalid for some time, his affliction being dropsy. The aged wife survives him. They came here a year or two ago from Saukville and bought the house and lot adjoining the Cornelius home, remodeling it. He leaves, besides the widow, six daughters and ten grandchildren. The funeral was held Monday p.m. from the Cornelius home, and was attended by a large gathering of relatives and friends. He was buried here.
Rev. Gilmore of Madison preached the funeral sermon, in place of T. Grafton Owen, who could not be here.
