Boardman, Mrs. S. C. #2 (? - 26 DEC 1902)
Mrs. S. C. Boardman died at Los Angeles, Calif., Dec. 26, 1902. With her at the time of her death were her daughter Frankie, her sister, Mrs. Levi Archer and some of the Arnold relatives. Mrs. Boardman had long been in feeble health, the removal from Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.) to Los Angeles two or three years ago having had for its object the betterment of her health.
Deceased was one of Neillsville’s early settlers. How many years ago she came her we cannot state, but the old Sam Boardman homestead at the corner of West and Sixth Street, with its shade trees in the middle of the sidewalk, and the mossy roof and abundant shrubbery, is one of the city’s antiquities. Her husband died a few years ago, and their only son shortly before that. Her remains will be brought here for burial, probably, at a later date.
