LaFavre, Frank (? - 1946)
Frank LaFavre, formerly of Humbird, is dead at Hollywood, Fla. Mr. LaFavre was a soldier of fortune.
He traveled the United States over and visited parts of Mexico and Canada. Many times he narrowly escaped death. At one time he was lost at sea during a terrific storm but finally reached Seattle, Wash. At another time he nearly perished on a desert in Nevada. He narrowly escaped being burned to death in an Idaho forest fire and being frozen to death in a Montana blizzard. He was once caught in a Mississippi flood.
Mr. LaFavre was born at Centralia, Ill., and came to Humbird with his aunt in 1880. In 1903, he was married to Miss Myrtle Borah. Four children were born to them.
