Baikley, Maude (JUL 1870 - MAY 1903)

Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Edgbert returned last Saturday from their sad trip to Sioska, Barron Co., Wis., where they went to be present at the bedside of their feeble daughter, and while there she quietly closed her eyes in that sleep that wakes no more.

She was ill but 12 days prior to her death. At first she was taken with an attack of the grip and pneumonia, and finally resulted in spinal meningitis. She was 33 years of age.

Miss Maude Edgbert was born in Poynette, Wis. July 1870, and at the age of 14 she came to Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.) with her parents and spent 10 years of her young life here, during which time she made many friends. She was known as an upright young lady and was interested in her friends and schoolmates. To say the least she was loved by all. At the age of 24 she was united in marriage to Mr. Julius Baikley who found in her a faithful wife. Three children came to them to make their home happy and they still survive her. Soon after her marriage she went to Sioska where she lived with her husband until her death.

The sympathy of the community is with the bereaved relatives.
