Wilding, Archie #2 (1890? - 17 JUL 1903)
It will be remembered that one of the 4th of July accidents reported in the Times was the accidental shooting of Archie Wilding of Pleasant Ridge (Clark Co., Wis.) while celebrating with other boys at Wm. Gerhardt’s, a light charge of powder and a paper was entering his side. He recovered so far that he was up and had visited the city. But a week ago Sunday symptoms of tetanus or lock jaw developed, and he continued to grow worse, dying Friday. The funeral was held at the Ridge Church Sunday, attended by a large number of sympathetic friends. Archie was a popular young man of excellent character.
