Buchholz, Mr./Mrs. August (50th Anniv. - 30 May 1956)

Relatives and neighbors gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. August Buchholz in the town of Hoard, Clark county, last week Wednesday evening to hold a surprise party on the couple in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary. Twenty-six people were present and enjoyed a social evening which was followed with a lunch.

Mr. Buchholz and the former Louisa Schulte were married at Green Grove on May 30, 1906, and have been farming in Town Hoard the past 12 years. Mrs. Tena Schulte of Cumberland is the only living wedding attendant of the couple.

Mr. and Mrs. Buchholz have two sons and a daughter - Edgar of Corell, Melvin of Holcombe and Anita at home.
