On Monday a pig rooting around in a newly made enclosure on the Bill Turner farm in Levis (Clark Co., Wis.) rooted up a dead baby. The authorities were notified and that afternoon Sheriff Brooks, A. E. Dudley, Chris Ebbe, John D. Stannard, and Ernest McIntire, M.F. Beaulieu, O. G. Tripp and Mons Scranton went down and held an inquest, a verdict being rendered that the child’s death was from an unknown cause. The child had been buried in a very shallow grave, without a coffin.
