In circuit court of Clark county Amos Spalding, of the town of Sherman, obtained a judgement against the town for $2,850 and costs, for damages received by a bridge over Yellow River giving way while crossing the bridge with a loaded team. Mr. Spaldings leg was broken and he sued the town for $5,000 damages.
