Marty, Alice (17 November 1918 - 18 October 1946)

Funeral services for Mrs. Walter Marty, 28, of Granton were held Monday afternoon at the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton, with the Rev. G. W. Longenecker of Neillsville officiating. Burial took place in the Neillsville Cemetery.

Mrs. Marty died at 3 a.m., October 18, (1946). She had been a hospital patient since October 13, (1946). Death was caused by bronchial pneumonia.

The deceased was born Alice Bernice Hogan, daughter of Dennis and Eva Mae Hogan, on November 17, 1918, at Clinton. Her early life was spent in Clinton and she was graduated from the Clinton High School in 1937. She was united in marriage to Walter Marty February 19, 1938, at Beloit. They bought the John Pietenpol farm, near Granton, and moved there in April, 1946, where they have since resided.

Surviving are her husband and a son, Ronald, 7, her father, a brother and three sisters. The brother, Brayton Hogan, sisters, Mrs. Edith Kalsey and Mrs. Adell Lowe, all of Beloit, and Mrs. Margaret Kalsey of Durand, Ill. were here for the funeral services. Her mother is deceased.

Pallbearers were: James Lehmann, Lawrence, Leonard and Donald Drescher, Vernie Suckow and Vernon Dahl.
