Edens, Elizabeth Katherine (6 May 1869 - 10 November 1946)

Elizabeth Katherine Edens was born to Conrad and Margaret Jakobi May 6, 1869, at Rhine Center.

She was married to Wilhelm Edens January 7, 1890, and they went to Plymouth to live, residing there until in May, 1900, when they moved to a farm in the Town of York. Here they lived until May, 1940, when they moved to Granton.

Mr. Edens preceded her in death about 3 ½ years ago. Two children also preceded her in death.

She is survived by five children: William G. of Hardwood, Mich.; Erna of Milwaukee; (Wera) Mrs. Donald Kier of Nasonville; (Hilda) Mrs. Irvin Vandeberg of York; Hans J. of Rockton, Ill.; and 15 grandchildren. Nieces and nephews also survive.

She was taken ill September 1, (1946) and was then taken to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Irvin Vandeberg, where she passed away early Sunday morning at the age of 77 years.

Pallbearers were: Ray and George Mortimer, Hank and Ed. Voight, Emil Korth and Paul Frishman.

Flowers were carried by Alice, Norbert and Muriel Kier and Virginia and Joyce Vandeberg.

Relatives from away attending were: Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Edens of Hardwood, Mich.; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Edens and Mrs. Melvin Frankey of Iron Mountain, Mich.; Erna Edens of Milwaukee; Hans Edens of Rockton, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Schmitt of Belgium, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Paulson of New Holstein, Wis.
