Bobb, Eleanor (Marriage - 19 January 1946)
A pretty wedding took place at the Lutheran parsonage at Dorchester Saturday, January 19, when Miss Eleanor Bobb, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Bobb of Reseburg, became the bride of Henry Schultze, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Schultze of Worden. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler performed the ceremony.
The bride’s wedding gown was of white satin with a net train. She wore a finger-tip veil and carried a bouquet of white carnations and roses and sweet peas.
The bridesmaids, Miss Regina Gorsenger and Miss Gladys Bobb, sister of the bride, wore aqua and pink gowns, respectively, with head bands to match. They carried doily bouquets with flowers similar to that of the bride.
The groom chose as his best man his twin brother, Howard Schultze, who was in uniform. His other attendant was Arles Offord, cousin of the bride, and both he and the groom wore blue suits and white carnation bouton-nieres.
A wedding dinner was served at 5 o’clock at the home of the bride’s parents for the bridal party and their parents.
A dance and shower, at which they received many useful and beautiful gifts, was held at the American Legion Hall at Thorp in the evening.
