Fluegel, Jean (Marriage - 24 February 1946)
The marriage of Jean Fluegel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Fluegel, Neillsville, to James Todd, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Todd of Granton, was solemnized at the Methodist church Sunday afternoon, February 24, at 3 p.m. The Rev. Floyd Fahlgren officiated at the double ring ceremony.
The bride wore a white satin dress with a net overskirt. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations. Her attendant was Miss Alice Lukas, and the groom’s attendant was Russell Todd, a brother.
Following the ceremony a reception was held in the church parlors for about 125 guests.
The couple is spending their honeymoon in Minnesota and other points in Wisconsin.
Mrs. Todd is a graduate of the Neillsville High School, class of 1944, and has been employed as cashier at the Farmers’ Store in Neillsville.
The groom is a graduate of the Granton High School and is employed by the Roddis Veneer Company in Marshfield, where they will make their home. Mr. Todd served 3 ½ years in the navy.
Those from out-of-town who attended the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Booth and Gayle of Cumberland; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wilhorn and sons of Nekoosa; Mr. and Mrs. George Hiles, Betty and Julian of Dexterville; Mr. and Mrs. J. Mercer, Mrs. Treweiler and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Meyer of Marshfield; Mrs. Amanda Gehre of Dexterville.
