Groteboer, Elaine (Marriage - 8 March 1946)
Miss Elaine Groteboer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David H. Groteboer, Neillsville, and Harold Mohr, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mohr, Neillsville, were married Friday evening, March 8, in a candlelight service at St. John’s Lutheran Church. The Rev. Wm. A. Baumann officiated at the double ring ceremony.
The bride wore a white satin gown with a lace mesh overskirt and sweetheart neckline. She wore a floor length veil trimmed with three rows of heavy lace and held in place by a crown of seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of yellow daffodils and narcissi and a white handkerchief, which was carried by her great-grand-mother at her wedding 40 years ago.
The groom was attired in his military uniform.
The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Ward Lockman, Jr.
A wedding supper was held at the home of the groom’s parents.
Mrs. Mohr was employed at Wagner’s café prior to her marriage, and the groom has just received his discharge from the Marine Corps.
