ABBOTSFORD CHILD IS VICTIM OF POLIO

Funeral Services for Billy Schmidt, 7, Will Be Held Monday

Abbotsford--Billy Schmidt, 7-years-old son of Dr. and Mrs. E. J. Schmidt, Abbotsford, died yesterday morning at a Madison hospital, the result of polio.

The death of Billy, who was taken to Madison October 25, brings to 89 the number of known poliodeaths in Wisconisn since January 1, the State Department of Health reported today.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday marning at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Abbotsford, Wis. The body is lying in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby, Wis.

Billy, who was seven years old on Tuesday, is survived by his parents; by a 1 year old sister, Karen; by his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. William Roth, Colby; and his paternal grandparents at Athens.

Billy's father is an Abbotsford dentist.
