Lastofka, Rose (1 JUL 1947)
On July 1, 1947 Miss Rose Lastofka, daughter of Mrs. Clara Lastofka of Minneapolis, became the bride of Francis Michels, son of Mrs. Emma Michels of Alma Center. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father Abias at the church of the Immaculate Conception at Alma Center.
The bride’s attendants were Miss Alice Michels, cousin of the groom, of Lake City, Minn., and Mrs. Sheldon Laffe of Taylor, sister of the bride. The groom was attended by Leo Esser, his cousin, of Alma Center, and Sheldon Laffe of Taylor.
The bride was graduated from the Humbird (Clark Co., Wis.) High School in 1941 and has since been employed as a secretary in Minneapolis. The groom was graduated from the Alma Center High School and served for two years in the army.
A reception was held at the home of the groom’s mother. Mr. and Mrs. Michels are on a two week wedding trip.
