Frick, Mary Catherine (28 September 1962 - 22 July 2008)
Mary Frick, 45, of Granton answered the call of God, our almighty father, as he summoned his angel home to his waiting arms Tuesday, July 22, 2008. Our angel on earth has gone to watch over us from above as she now sits in the warmth and peace inside the gates of heaven.
Mary Catherine Frick was born Sept. 28, 1962, the daughter of Jacob and Catherine (Golisch) Frick in Oconomowoc. She graduated from Granton High School in 1981 and went on to work for several different businesses in the area as a carpenter. Mary was united in marriage to Steve Breadlau, and they moved to Florida where they lived for 10 years. They later divorced. Mary loved woodworking and the outdoors. She had spent the past nine years employed by WestWood Kitchens of Neillsville building cabinets. Mary was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Granton.
She is survived by her mother, Catherine Sternitzky of Pittsville; five brothers and sisters, John (Gina) Frick of Austin, TX., Tom Frick of Birchwood, Dan (Teresa) Frick of Wisconsin Rapids, Grace (Jeff) Ignatowski of Pittsville and Laura (Mike) Goergen of Pittsville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, Jason and Jacob Frick, Jeremy Frick, Shane Frick, Misty Frick, Lindsey Strey, Jake Ignatowski, Marie Behselich and Andy and Elizabeth Goergen; seven great-nieces and nephews; and her favorite buddy, her dog Brutus. Mary loved life and spending time with her family and will be deeply missed by many family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jacob Frick; her stepfather, Warren Sternitzky; and a brother Andy Sternitzky.
Funeral services for Mary were held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2008, at Zion Lutheran Church in Granton. Pastor John Trewyn officiated. Burial followed in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Granton. Visitation was held Sunday at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville and prior to the service at Zion Lutheran Church.
Serving as Casketbearers were: Bryan Rasmussen, Sonny Prewitt, Shane Frick, Jake Ignatowski, Terry Butts and Dan Porter.
The Gesche Funeral Home of Neillsville assisted Mary’s family with arrangements.
