Marion H. Wohld, age 67, of Eau Claire, died Monday, July 28, 2008 at her residence. She was born October 19, 1940, in the Town of Tilden, the daughter of William and Mary (Dachel) Kurtz. She married LaVern Mark Wohld on June 24, 1961, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Tilden.
Marion is survived by three sons: Randall of Elk Mound, Richard of Eau Claire, and Thomas of Minneapolis, MN; four daughters, Cynthia (Kevin) Longseth of Arcadia, Sandra (David) Reischel of Chippewa Falls, Debra Ferrier of Eau Clarie, and Michelle (Brian) Ehlert of Thorp; three brother: James (Francisca) Kurtz of Pasadena, TX, Dennis Kurtz of Winona, MN, and Daniel Kurtz (special friend, Terry Johnson) of Oakland, CA; three sisters: Marcella Chovan and Lois (Lloyd) Nyre, both of Chippewa Falls, and Jean (Bernard) Deinhammer of Rockford, IL; and 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Wohld, in 1991; one daughter, Sheryl Wohld, in infancy; her parents; two brothers: Clarence and William Kurtz, Jr.; and one brother-in-law, William Chovan.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, July 31, 2008, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Tilden. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Tilden.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, and until 11 a.m. Thursday at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls. There will be a Christian Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
The family requests memorials in Marion’s name may be made out to the Autism Foundation.
