Spencer, Dona (16 AUG 1947)
Miss Dona Spencer, daughter of Mrs. Wallace Spencer, Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Arvid Boyer, son of George Boyer, Greenwood (Clark Co.), at a ceremony performed Saturday, Aug. 16, 1947, at Sunset Point. The Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiated.
For her wedding the bride wore a white nylon gown and carried a bouquet of red roses and white gladioli.
Her bridesmaids were Miss Genevieve Menning and Miss Ruth White. Miss Menning wore pink nylon and carried a bouquet of white gladioli and purple bachelor buttons. Miss White wore a blue satin gown with a net overskirt and carried gladioli and bachelor buttons.
The groom was attended by Wallace Boyer and Robert Knoop.
About 20 relatives and friends were present for the ceremony.
Following the wedding a supper was served at the home of the bride’s brother, Ralph, near Greenwood.
Among the out of town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth Spencer and family, and Mr. and Mrs. David Spencer and family of Alma Center, and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Spencer, Greenwood.
