Richardson, Bishop Ernest G. (1874? - 5 SEP 1947)
Bishop Ernest G. Richardson, 73, Madison, Methodist Church leader, died early Friday at Methodist Hospital, Madison, of virus pneumonia and a stroke. Bishop Richardson, who was retired because of age in 1944, was called to emergency service as Bishop of Wisconsin, last winter when Bishop and Mrs. Schuyler E. Garth were killed in an airplane crash in China. His headquarters were in Madison.
He was born in the West Indies and came to the U. S. in 1890. He was first elected bishop in 1920. Surviving are his wife, Anna, of Madison, and a son, Hallam Richardson, of Brooklyn, N.Y.
