Strauman, Miss (Marriage - 2 November 1946)
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Johnson, newlyweds, are making their home with the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Strauman near Granton, following a honeymoon spent in Chicago, Prairie du Chien and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig Johnson of Marshfield.
For her wedding the bride wore a white satin wedding gown with a snug fitting bodice buttoning down the back. Her fingertip veil of illusion, edged in lace, was caught to a seed pearl headdress. Her bridal bouquet was red and white roses showered with satin streamers.
The attendants were cousins of the bride, Marjorie Weighner, Granton, Roberta Strauman and Margaret Betzel of Prairie du Chien, as maid of honor and bridesmaids; and Norman Johnson, Milwaukee, Douglas Brown, Milwaukee, and Harold Weighner, Prairie du Chien, as the groom’s attendants.
The wedding took place November 2, at the Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Bakerville.
A wedding reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents following the ceremony.
