Bernard Hogue
Greenwood--Bernard Hogue, 75, Walnut Creek, Calif., a former resident of Greenwood, died Tuesday morning at a hospital there. He had been hospitalized the past month.
The body will be brought to Cudahy, where services will be Monday, July 28, at the Methodist Church. Graveside sevices and burial will be Tuesday, July 29, at the Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Hogue was born and raised in Greenwood. He was a teacher in Cudahy for many years.
Survivors include his wife and three daughters.

Hogue, Bernard (? – 22 July 1975)
Bernard Hogue, 75, Walnut Creek, Ca., former resident of Greenwood died July 22
at a hospital, where he had been a patient for a month.
He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Hogue.
He was born and raised in Greenwood and for many years was a teacher at Cudahy.
Surviving are his wife and three daughters. The body was brought back to Cudahy,
where funeral services were held from the Methodist Church Monday. Graveside
services, burial were held at the Greenwood Cemetery, Tuesday

Hogue, Bernard E. (18 December 1899 – 22 July 1975)
Bernard E. Hogue, 75, Walnut Creek, Ca., former Greenwood resident, died
Tuesday, July 22 at a hospital following a month’s illness.
He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Hogue and was born and raised in
Greenwood. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 28 at the Nero
Funeral Home in Cudahy, Wi. The Rev. Ream, pastor of the Congregational Church
in Wauwatosa, Wi., presided. Graveside rites were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July
29, in the Greenwood Cemetery. The Rev. Eugene Antrim, pastor of the Grace
United Methodist Church presided. A Masonic service was held Sunday at 8 p.m.
Mr. Hogue is survived by his wife, the former Louise Kaiser and three daughters,
Mrs. Kathleen (Robert) Smith of Vienna, VA., Mrs. Carol (Keith) Bradley of
Alameda, Ca.; Mrs. Sharon (James) Smith of Berkeley, Ca., also seven
grandchildren.
He was a member of the Lafayette Lodge no. 265 of Milwaukee; the White Shrine No
23 of Milwaukee; the National Secondary Principal Assoc.; the Wisconsin and
Cudahy Education Assoc.; the School Masters club; a charter member of the Cudahy
Kiwanis and a past president; a lifelong member of the Methodist Church; a Boy
Scout leader and advisor of Milwaukee County for 35 years.
Attending the funeral services in Greenwood were his wife of Walnut Creek, Ca.;
also Mr. and Mrs. Keith Bradley of Alameda, Ca.; Mrs. Sharon Smith of Berkeley,
Ca.; Bruce Jackim of Alameda, Ca.; Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Brandmark of Waterford, Wi.;
Mrs. Helen Hogue of Neillsville, Miss Elgie Beede of Hatfield, Miss Florence
Walch of Altoona and Mrs. Leonard Larson of Eau Claire.
