Ross, Della May (17 April 1871 - 8 January 1948)
Funeral services for Della May Ross, former Pittsville resident, who died at the Pekin (Ill.) Hospital Jan. 8, (1948), were held Saturday. Della May Ross was born in Manito, Ill., April 17, 1871, a daughter of Sam and Mary Codget Sumers. She and James Ross were married at Pekin, March 21, 1891. Mr. Ross of 211 Koch St. Pekin survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Helen Phillips, and four grandchildren of Neillsville. Two other daughters preceded her in death. A sister, Julia Jenkins of Joliet, Ill., also survives.
Services were conducted by Rev. Dale Harris of the Seventh Street Gospel Tabernacle. Burial was in Lakeside.
