Nielsen, Mary Louise (Marriage - 23 December 1947)
On Tuesday, December 23, (1947) at 7 p.m. Mary Louise Nielsen and William A. Freeman of the United States Navy, formerly of Chickasaw, Ala., exchanged marriage vows at the Danish Lutheran Church, Withee. The Rev. L. C. Bundgaard officiated.
The church was decorated in a festive setting of candlelight and Christmas trees. The bride wore a winter white suit with black accessories and a corsage of American beauty roses. The maid of honor, Dolores Mueller, wore a blue suit, black accessories and white carnations. The groom wore his navy dress blues. Wallace R. Lindow of Granton, brother-in-law of the bride, was best man.
Miss Eula Baker of Withee sang "Always", accompanied by Floyd Hansen, also of Withee.
A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents for immediate relatives.
