Smith, Nancy (Marriage - 7 February 1948)
Miss Nancy Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Smith of Lancaster, became the bride of Homer DeWitt Ralph, son of Mr. and Mrs. Homer D. Ralph, Sr., of Platteville, in a ceremony performed Saturday afternoon, February 7, (1948), at the Congregational Church in Lancaster.
The Ralph family formerly resided on a farm in the Town of Grant, and moved from here to Platteville about seven years ago. The groom attended high school here and was graduated at Platteville. He served in the Marine Air Corps and during the war was a member of the famous Black Squadron, which saw service in the Pacific. Since his discharge he has been attending Mining school in Platteville and is a flying instructor. The bride is attending the University of Wisconsin.
Ralph Patey, son of William Patey of Berlin, and a cousin of the groom, attended the wedding.
