Pscheidt, Ellen (Marriage - 21 February 1948)
The Neillsville Methodist Church was the scene on Saturday afternoon of the marriage of Miss Ellen Pscheidt of Neillsville and George White of Loyal. The Rev. Floyd A. Fahlgren, pastor of the church, officiated at the double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Roman Pscheidt and Mrs. Stanley Switalski, both of (missing lines). The bride’s attendants had matching flowers.
The bridal march from Lohengrin and the Recessional by Mendelssohn were played by Mrs. Millard Cole who also played the piano accompaniment for two songs, "I Love Your Truly" and "O, Perfect Love" sung by the Misses Phyllis Fahlgren and Hazel Millard.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and reception was held at the W. R. C. Hall for 170 guests. For the occasion, the hall was decorated with streamers of white, yellow and orchid crepe paper and white wedding bells. In the evening, a wedding dance was given at the Levis town hall.
The bride attended the Neillsville High School and recently has been employed in Neillsville. The groom is a graduate of the Loyal High School and a veteran of 18 months service in the army. He is employed in a hardware store in Loyal.
The couple left on a wedding trip to southern Wisconsin, and on their return will reside in Loyal.
Special guests at the wedding and reception were the bride’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Pscheidt of Neillsville, who recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary, and a friend of the family, Mrs. Louisa Haskins of Neillsville, who is 92 years of age.
Guests from away included: Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Switalski, Mrs. Tedd Wallace, Roman Pscheidt and Eddie Jawarski, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Herbert White and daughter, Miss Janice White, Mrs. Walter Swieso and son, Vernard, and Mr. and Mrs. James Colby, Loyal; Mrs. Harvey Sinclair, Dubuque, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Thiede, Granton; James White, an uncle of the groom and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth White, cousins, Marshfield.
