Funeral services for Mrs. Kathryn Prock, 79, of Hurley, Wis. were held Friday morning at 9:30, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.), with her son, the Rev. Fr. Michael Prock, officiating. Celebrant of the High Mass was her son, assisted by Deacon Edmond Cramer of Marshfield, and sub-deacon John J. Pritzl of Neillsville.
Pallbearers were: Linus Prock, Edward Prock, William Schwellenbach, Fred Seif, Louis Wiesner and David Seif, all nephews of Mrs. Prock. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Mrs. Prock was born Kathryn Wiesner, daughter of the late Frederick and Caroline Wiesner, on Oct. 24, 1867, at New London. When still a young child she came with her parents to Clark County. They lived on a farm in West Pine Valley, where she grew to womanhood. She was married at Neillsville to George Prock, who preceded her in death. They were the parents of 14 children, seven of whom died in early life.
After leaving Neillsville, Mr. and Mrs. Prock lived for several years in Rice Lake, later going to make their home with their son, Father Michael Prock.
Funeral services were from the Cole Funeral Home in charge of a son, M. J. Prock and his sons, Martin and John Prock of Eau Claire.
Those from out of town attending the services were: Miss An Prock, Hurley; Miss Clara Prock, Chicago; Sister Fabiola, Rhinelander; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Thome and daughter, Spring Valley; Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Prock and sons, Martin and John, Eau Claire; Francis Prock, Rice Lake;; Mrs. Carrie Amidon, Hayward; and the Rev. Michael Prock, Hurley.
