NEILLSVILLE -- Thomas Allen Gaede, 26, of Neillsville, died Monday, July 28, 2008, in Black River Falls.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Military honors will be accorded by the Neillsville Veterans Council.

He was born Feb. 14, 1982, in Black River Falls, the biological son of Paul Gaede Sr. and Ella Schreiber and later adopted by Robert and Penny Poeschel of Neillsville. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served from 2001 to 2007. He was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, and served two terms in Iraq.

He is survived by his parents, Robert and Penny Poeschel, Neillsville, Paul Gaede Sr., Neillsville, and Ella Schreiber, Bruce; brothers, Paul (Lori) Gaede Jr., Watertown, N.Y., Anthony (Melissa) Gaede, Kailua, Hawaii, John Gaede and Lance Poeschel, both of Neillsville; sisters, Angie (Mark) Fontecchio, Ashland, Peggie Gaede, La Crosse, Amy (Arturo) Bellomo, Mexico, Jen (Chris) Feyereisen, Connie (Kelly) Howes, Neillsville. He is also survived by his grandmother, Caroline Palms, Neillsville.
