Crego, Amelia (22 May 1871 - 17 March 1948)
Funeral services for Mrs. Amelia Crego, 76, were held Friday, March 19, (1948) from the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton. Interment was made in the York Cemetery. She died Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Forrest Greene, near Chili.
Amelia Crego, nee Grobe, was born in Finsterbergen, Germany, May 22, 1871. When she was 12 years old she came with her parents to America. They settled on a farm in the Town of Fremont and she lived in that township for the rest of her life.
She married William H. Crego on December 21, 1897. They lived on their farm near Chili until poor health compelled them to move to Chili. Mr. Crego preceded her in death.
Surviving besides her daughter are, one grandson, Robert W. Greene, Stevens Point; four sisters, Mrs. Bertha Blakely, Palatka, Fla., Mrs. Edmund (Augusta) Allen, Reddick, Fla., Mrs. Henry (Sarah) Hardt, Elida, N.M., Mrs. D. D. Fitsch, Glendale, Cal.
