Charles Pickruhn, 74, died at 9 o’clock Dec. 17 at his home in Greenwood. Mr. Pickruhn, who suffered a stroke last spring and had been confined to his home for several months at that time, had gone out to shovel snow last Thursday morning, when he was stricken with a heart attack. He was dead when carried into his home by a neighbor.

Mr. Pickruhn was born in Sheboygan county. He was married to Bertha Litka at Loyal about 42 years ago. The couple lived in Loyal for a short time, where he operated a harness shop. Later they moved to Greenwood, where he had operated a harness shop ever since. He was a former city alderman there and a member of the Zion Reformed church.

He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Peter (Arvilla) Lydicksen, of Loyal. A son died in infancy. Funeral services were held on Sunday at 12:30 at the home and 1:30 at the Reformed church. He was laid to rest beside his son in the Lutheran cemetery in Loyal.
