Marden, Wilhelmina Christina (23 December 1863 - 22 May 1948)
Mrs. George (Wilhelmina Christina) Marden, of the Township of Hewett, R3, Neillsville, died in her farm home Saturday morning, May 22, (1948). Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 25, at 1:30 p.m. at the Marden home and at 2:00 p.m. at the Pine Valley Lutheran Church. The officiating clergyman was the Reverend Leonard Domke. Burial took place in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Marden was born Wilhelmina Christina Schuelke, December 23, 1863, in Germany, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schuelke. She received her early education in Germany and came to the United States in 1891 with relatives. She located in Neillsville where a brother and sister resided. After her marriage in 1895 she and her husband, George Marden, moved to the present farm.
She was a member of the Pine Valley Lutheran Church. Her husband preceded her in death. She is survived by three children, Ernest, Charles and Earl Marden, and two grandchildren (Betty Jane and Jana Lee Marden).
