Schlinkert, Fred (10 JUL 1880 - 14 NOV 1947)

Funeral services for Fred W. Schlinkert, 67, a former resident of this community, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Georgas funeral home. The Rev. Adolph Schumann, pastor of the Globe Lutheran Church, officiated. Burial took place in the Neillsville Cemetery. Mr. Schlinkert died, Friday, at a hospital in Little Falls, Minn.

Fred Schlinkert, son of William F. and Augusta (Floerke) Schlinkert, was born July 10, 1880, in the town of Weston (Clark Co., Wis.). He resided here until 1902, when he went to Little Falls, where he has since resided. He was confirmed in 1894, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Neillville, by Rev. F. Thrun.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Emma Schoenherr, and three brothers, William, Robert and Theodore Schlinkert, all of Neillsville. His parents, two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.

Pallbearers were Clarence, William and Victor Schlinkert, Herbert and Curt Schoenherr, and Herman Dux.
