Chadwick, Joseph #2 (27 MAR 1888 - 27 NOV 1904)

Joe Chadwick of Weston (Clark Co., Wis.) was accidentally shot last Sunday while out hunting. He stood on a bridge waiting for a hunting companion, when his gun slipped between two planks and was shot off, the charge taking effect in his head, killing him. His friend got help and the body was taken to Joe Christie’s.

Deceased was a son of Thos. Chadwick, Jr. His mother was daughter of Bob Christie, the old time lumberman. Joe was about 18 years of age, and a boy who was well liked by everybody.

The funeral was held at the Joe Christie home at Christie, and the burial was in the family lot in the Neillsville Cemetery, Tuesday.
