Humbird (11 June 1970)
Mrs. Geneva Fitzmaurice and Mrs. Gladys Lightfoot
spent Thursday afternoon with Mrs. Chet Bailey.
Mr and Mrs. Art Zerbel
and Mrs. Freida Zerbel were dinner guests Sunday at the John Kleckner home in
Stevens Point, honoring the graduation of Wendy Kleckner. Mr. and Mrs. LaVern
Kaufman of rural Fairchild were also present.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Laffe
attended the graduation exercises of Black River Falls High School. An open
house was held for Gordon Wold at the home of Mrs. Hazel Field following the
exercises.
Mrs. Emma Theiler, accompanied by Mrs. Stucki and Mrs. Hemp of
Neillsville, called at the W. F. Hein home Saturday afternoon. Other callers
were Mr. and Mrs. Lilliskov of Minneapolis.
Mrs. Emma Haag and Leonard of
Melrose were dinner and afternoon guests Sunday at the home of her brother,
Henry Laffe, and Mrs. Laffe.
William Carrol of Gays Mills was an
overnight guest Sunday at the Rudy Aeschbacher home.
Mr. and Mrs. Art
Duerkop of Eau Claire were weekend visitors at the home of her mother, Mrs. Iola
Printz.
Cary, Danny and Cindy Austin of Beloit drove here Saturday for a
surprise weekend visit at the home of their grandmother. Danny is remaining for
the summer and will work for Glen Stuve on the farm.
Mrs. Emma Gerber and
Mrs. Harold Schmidt have put a display in the thrift shop window of some of the
things which the Happy Hour Homemakers made last winter.
Ed Barkley
called briefly Saturday at the Laura Dignin home on his way home to Eau Claire
from Milwaukee, where he visited his son.
Overnight guests Saturday at
the Herb Adler home were Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Adler and children of Eau Claire,
Mr. and Mrs. Herb Adler, Jr., and children of Marengo, Mr. and Mrs. Cyrell Adler
and Larry Adler of Wildwood, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Martin Adler of Round Lake,
Ill., Mrs. Jane Schickert of Wausau, Mrs. Vivian Salentine of Muskego and Mr.
and Mrs. Ed Kenneburg of Rockford.
Jim Duerkop drove to South Dakota
last Sunday to attend the wedding of his college roommate. He returned Tuesday.
Mrs. Harriette Gorst visited Sunday afternoon at the home of her daughter,
Mrs. Glen Colwell, near Hixton.
Mr and Mrs. Bob Englesby of Eau Claire
visited Sunday afternoon at the Jake Lightfoot and Al Raymond homes.
Mr.
and Mrs. Roy Johnson and family were guests Sunday at a baptismal dinner at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. George Zuehlke, Jr., in Loyal for their little son, George
Zuehlke, III.
