Rehearsals Start For First Band Concert Here
Band rehearsals are being held each Monday evening at the city hall in preparation for the first concert of the season which will be held about the middle of June.
The band his year will compose of 25 members, under the direction of M. G. Hamel. Al H. Nelson is acting as president of the organization.
Former member of the Tri-City band are invited to bring their instruments and be present at rehearsals on Monday evening.
Young People of Wuerzburg To Present Play and Dance May 11
The Young People’s Club of St. John’s parish, Wuerzburg, will present a fine three act comedy drama at Joe Berger’s Trianon Gardens, Monday evening, May 11th.
"Springtime" is a wholesome play adopted for old and yong alike. The case of characters include Anthony Vesley, Peter Calmes, Peter Rosner, Sylvester Ellenbecker, Arnold Kremsreiter, Marie Rosner, Barie Burger, Clara Brost, Mayme Kosky, Margaret Radlinger and Mrs. Anthony Vesley. There will be a dance after the play.
Appropriation Made For Control Of Bee Diseases
Madison - Twenty-two counties have appropriated a total of $4300 for the control of bee diseases this year, E. L. Chamber, state entomologist, reported today. This amount will be matched by the state.
The appropriations range from $25 to $500. Clark County’s share is $200.
