Johnson, Romelle Ann (Marriage - 25 Aug. 1956)

Miss Romelle Ann Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Johnson, of Unity, and Calvin Gene Ewert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Ewert of Unity, exchanged marriage vows Saturday afternoon in the Trinity Lutheran church in Unity, Rev. Claude Vander Stoep reading the marriage ceremony. A five o’clock dinner was served in the church parlors.

Miss Miriam Kilty of Edgar, a cousin of the bride, was maid of honor and Miss Gery Berger of Menomonie, a friend of the bride, was bridesmaid. The groom was attended by his brother, Clair, and the bride’s brother, Floyd.

The bride is a graduate of Colby High School, class of 1955, and also a graduate of the Accredited School of Beauty Culture, Eau Claire. Mr. Ewert is a graduate of Unity High School, class of 1953, and also attended the Wausau Vocational School for Mechanics.

The newlyweds will reside in Rhinelander where the groom is employed by the Pure Oil Co. and the bride is employed at Marvin’s Beauty Shop.
