Salzwedel, Sandra Kay (Marriage -
13 June 1970)
Miss Sandra Kay Salzwedel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elroy
Salzwedel of Chili, was united in marriage Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Zion
Lutheran Church in Granton to David F. Ellis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ellis of
City Point. The Rev. Roland Roehrs performed the double ring ceremony in the
presence of 81 guests.
The bride was attired in a floor-length gown with
a full skirt, trimmed in lace, the sleeves having a puff-type effect, and with a
long lace train. She wore a crown headpiece with a three-tier veil, and carried
a bouquet of daisies, yellow sweet peas and white roses with long satin ribbons,
as she was escorted to the altar by her father.
Miss Linda Swenson was
the maid-of-honor and Miss Linda Salzwedel was the bridesmaid. They wore
floor-length gowns of mint green and yellow, with empire waists and white trim
tops. They wore matching daisy headpieces and carried bouquets of white daisies
and green and yellow satin ribbons.
Roger Salzwedel was bestman and Jim
Scheel was groomsman. Ushers were Larry Salzwedel and Darcy Krenn.
A
reception was held in the Zion Lutheran Church, which was decorated with yellow,
white and green streamers, and by daisies on the tables.
The bride
attended Granton High School and the groom graduated from Pittsville High
School. He is employed at the Ellis Cranberry Marsh.
After a wedding trip
to Wisconsin Dells and Milwaukee, the couple will make their home in City Point.
