Vine, Jane Ann (Marriage - 13 June
1970)
Miss Jane Ann Vine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Vine of
Granton, was united in marriage to William Lee Knoff, son of Mr. and Mrs. John
Knoff of Neillsville, Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the United Church of Christ in
Neillsville. The Rev. George Yons performed the double ring ceremony in the
presence of 175 guests. The church was decorated in candelabra and ivy.
The bride was attired in a floor-length, empire-styled gown of organza,
fashioned with bishop sleeves and a mandarin neckline. Lace accented the A-line
silhouette, highlighted by a sweeping chapel train of sheer illusion, edged in
white lace secured to a pillbox hat. She carried a bouquet of phalaenopsis
orchids, stephanotis, white roses and babies’ breath as she was escorted to the
altar by her father.
Miss Sheila Wunnicke of Richland Center was
maid-of-honor, and Miss Virginia Vine and Miss Julie Knoff were bridesmaids.
They wore floor-length dresses of orchid print voile, styled with
cavalier-shaped sleeves and a jewel neckline formed by a flattering ruffle. They
carried bouquets of lavender pompons, centered with white vigil-light candles.
Larry Olson served as best man and Jim Knoff and Ronald Svetlik were
groomsmen. Miss Kristine Vine was flowergirl and Miss Eileen Zank provided
music.
A reception was held in the church parlor, which was decorated in
lavender ribbons and white candles.
The bride is a senior at Wisconsin
State University-La Crosse and will be a student at La Crosse State this summer.
She is a member of the Delta Zeta sorority. Mr. Knoff is a senior at Michigan
Technological University and this summer will work for the state highway
department. He is a member of the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity.
