Haeuser, Beverley (Marriage - 23 June 1948)
At St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood, at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 23, (1948), Miss Beverley Haeuser, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Haeuser of Greenwood, repeated her nuptial vows with Bernard Denk, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Denk of Greenwood. Rev. Father Novak said the nuptial mass and officiated at the double ring ceremony.
The bride wearing a gown of traditional white satin, with sheer yoke, long pointed sleeves, and full skirt, entered the church on her father’s arm. She carried a bouquet of white carnations surrounding pink roses. Her matron of honor, gowned in pink, was Mrs. Wilbur Kehrberg, her sister. Miss Dorothy Denk, sister of the groom, and Mrs. Donny Denk, sister-in-law of the groom, were bridesmaids. They wore matching gowns of pale green. William Denk, Jr., brother of the groom, was best man and Wilbur Kehrberg and Donny Denk were ushers. The Kehrbergs are from Loyal and the Donny Denks and William Denk, Jr., are from Marshfield. Music was supplied by the choir of St. Mary’s Church.
After a reception at the home of the bride’s parents, the young couple left for a wedding trip into northern Wisconsin. On their return they will make their home in Greenwood, where both are employed by the Greenwood Co-op Association.
