Langiewicz, Dolores Patricia (Marriage - 26 June 1948)

After a wedding trip to the east coast, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Ramberg will make their home on their farm near Thorp. They were married in a double ring ceremony in the rectory of St. Mary’s Church, Stanley, June 26, (1948). The bride is the former Miss Dolores Patricia Langiewicz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Langiewicz, of Thorp; and the groom is the son of Mr. Edward Ramberg, also of Thorp. The Rev. Fr. L. G. Pollock officiated.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, was gowned in white satin. Her gown featured long sleeves and full train. She wore a fingertip veil and carried a bouquet of white carnations, roses and lilies of the valley. Miss Elaine Markowski served as maid of honor, two sisters of the bride, the Misses Clarice and Henrietta Langiewicz, were bridesmaids. Alex Langiewicz, Jr., brother of the bride, was best man, and John Gruba and Ervin Klick were ushers.

Sixty guests attended the reception at the home of the bride’s parents, immediately following the ceremony. In the evening a wedding dance was held in the Mile-away Pavilion near Thorp, which was attended by one hundred families.

Both the bride and groom saw three years of service during the war, the bride in the WAAC and the groom in the U. S. Army.

From out-of-town came Mr. and Mrs. Michael Stevens, T/Sgt. LeRoy Fulmer, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Allen, and Mrs. Gordon LaLone, all of Minneapolis; and the bride’s brother, Pfc. Valentine Langiewicz of Sherman Texas.

(Transcribers note: In the other copy of this marriage, the name is written as Langlewicz, but in the newspaper copy that I am transcribing from it is definitely written as Langiewicz.)
